Mission Complete!
Hmmm, where's that from... Advance Wars DS? Not sure. Anywho, I'm back from vacation, managed to make some more gaming progress. I had rented Elebits, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves and Mario Party 8. I didn't unlock everything in MP8, so I won't consider that beaten. It's good for 2 or more people, but 1 player is almost pointless. I'll probably get it to play and family get togethers, but probably not much else beyond that.
Elebits was interesting. Basically you have to collect all th
e Elebits which have gone AWOL for some reason. As their name suggests, they are electrical and with them not around, electrical appliances don't work. The more you collect, the more electrical devices turn on, ready to be used. To capture them, you use the aptly named Capture Gun, which not only can collect the little rascals, it can pick up and move objects. The more electronic things you turn on, the more powerful the gun becomes and the heavier the object you can lift, like in the picture. It comes with an edit mode, which I haven't seen in a game for a long time. I of course made my gun uber powerful and tossed a few buildings around. I don't know if they're movement is accurate because I've never seen that happen before, but I'll assume that's what it looks like.

Lastly, there's Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. I'm a huge fan of the series, so playing through this was a lot of fun. The only real challenge in these games anymore is on the first handful of play throughs and a mini-game appears that I'm unable to figure out how to play in the 5 seconds I have. Eventually it'll get figured out. My favourite part of the game is the introduction of the different control scheme's throughout the game. A short black and white cut scene will tell you how to hold the Wiimote, with a very hypnotic voice describing it to you. Good stuff.
Ah, I finished Battle For Middle Earth for the PC about an hour ago. By the end of the game I was bored, but that's probably because I took the time to clear out all the areas I hadn't earlier. I know if I hadn't, I couldn't really say it was done, but I don't think I'd play through the campaign again, not even for a challenge.
I think I'm done with Final Fantasy II. I still have the last bonus dungeon to do, and I know I can do it, however it would involve a lot of leveling. I don't find that as much fun as I used to, however I do want to move on and I did beat the main game. I'm a good chunk into Final Fantasy III now, so hopefully by the end of the week I'll post my "final" stats for FF2. I may still go back at some point and finish it off, but probably not anytime soon.
I'm also a good chunk through Hotel Dusk. I've limited my checking of walkthroughs to when I'm really stuck, like after checking the entire hotel and not being able to find where to go next, or getting stuck in a conversation and making no progress. I can see myself playing through this several times in the future. I read that there's a secret ending if you don't get a game over, so that's a good enough reason to go back.

I've also started playing The Sims 2 for the DS. Not much to say yet, but I'm half way through the "story" portion of it. Can't see my playing much beyond that. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to fill my art gallery with pictures of boobs and wangs, they sell well.
